Just confirmed that Tours of Croydon's Historic Minster will be taking place on 8th June. The West tower dates from 14th century. Visit the Croydon Heritage Festival website for details.

Healing Service, Wednesday 22 May, 7.30pm. Holy Communion, with laying-on of hands and anointing for those who desire. The service lasts around half an hour, so still enough daylight for travelling home afterwards!

St George's, Waddon are holding a Music Extravaganza on Saturday 15 June at 7pm, cost £5 inc refreshments, or £3 for those taking part. They are looking for additional performers, so please contact P.Vowles@btinternet.com if you would like to take part.

Reminder! Today (9 May) is the Feast of The Ascension of the Lord, with a special Sung Eucharist at 8pm. The Minster has a lovely atmosphere on a light Spring evening, so why not take this midweek opportunity to worship in our beautiful building!

Today (8 May) is the Lesser Festival of Julian of Norwich.
On this day in the year 1373, when Julian of Norwich was thirty years old and suffering from what was considered to be a terminal illness, she experienced a series of sixteen visions, which revealed aspects of the love of God. Following her recovery, she spent the next twenty years of her life pondering their meaning and recorded her conclusions in what became the first book written by a woman in English, The Revelations of Divine Love. At an unknown point in her life, she became an anchoress attached to the Church of St Julian in Norwich. She died around the year 1417.

We will be encouraged to look more deeply into the writings of this remarkable women on this year's retreat entitled 'Julian of Norwich - A Message of Hope', from 21 to 23 June at The Centre (Sisters of St Andrew) near Edenbridge. A sign up sheet is now at the back of church.

We are delighted that Harry Christopher's and The Sixteen will once again be including Croydon Minster in their Choral Pilgrimage Tour for 2013. This concert takes place on Friday 19 April at 7.30pm.
