We are launching an appeal to our congregation and friends and supporters in and around Croydon to help fund the costs for restoring stonework on the Minster’s medieval tower and doing vital repairs on gutters and downpipes. It is not exciting work but it is fundamental in our care of this precious part of Croydon’s heritage, a Grade 1 listed building, for which we get no direct local or national government funding

The Cultural Recovery Fund has awarded us  £212,328 of the overall project cost of £265,400. We have also received a grant from Garfield Weston raising another £10,000. The terms of CRF grant mean we have had to begin work so as to complete by the end of March 2021.

We are now appealing for help to raise the last £43,072 to complete the project. We hope that you will feel moved to make a generous donation to help secure the ongoing future of this precious place.
