We are pleased to announce hat the Reverend David Adamson-Hill, presently Assistant Curate of St George the Martyr, Southwark, St Hugh’s, Bermondsey, and Southwark Cathedral, also in the Diocese of Southwark, has been appointed Associate Priest in the Parish of Croydon with Special Responsibility for St George’s, Waddon, subject to completion of the necessary procedures. Further details, including the date of the Licensing service, will follow in due course.

Welcoming the announcement, Father David said: “It is wonderful to be able to share this news with all of you at St George’s, and Croydon Minster today! I am really excited to be coming to serve you as one of your priests, and hope to get to know you well over the course of the next few months, particularly as we are hopeful that as a society we may be able to do more things in person in the very near future! I hope that this will include meeting and praying with many of you. It is very exciting that I will become part of the Church, and wider community, in Waddon. I have had a wonderful and varied curacy in the North of the diocese, and am incredibly thankful for all the support I have bene given, and I am thankful too for the support of Bishop Jonathan, Archdeacon Rosemarie, Canon Andrew, and Carol and Christine for the trust they have put in me in appointing me to this position. I cannot wait to begin serving you; and as I prepare to join you, you are in my prayers – and I ask that you keep me in yours.”
