The death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has brought sadness to our Church, nation and Commonwealth.

Croydon Minster is open for prayer, worship and contemplation and you are welcome to come and light a candle and pray for our departed Queen.

To offer condolences please use the national book at www.royal.uk

The Parish of Croydon has issued a statement following the death of Her Majesty the Queen.

Welcome to
Croydon Minster

We believe that Croydon Minster is a church with a living past, a vibrant present and a hope-filled future. And you’re welcome to connect with us online or in person.

We hope everyone can feel able to be part of the community here – diverse ages and backgrounds – as together we explore the deep meaning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; as people have done here at this ancient and enduring spiritual heart of Croydon for over a thousand years.

Ours is an open church in spirit and practice: everyone is welcome. That’s an important value to us. We open ourselves to God in word and sacrament on Sundays, and day by day, enriched by the music of the Anglican choral tradition. We keep the building open during the day as a place where people can come to pray, sit, rest or just ponder and be still.

We are honoured to serve the civic life of Croydon and to be the place of many baptisms, weddings, funerals and other occasions for the people of our town.
