Governance

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) is an elected body that is part of the governance function of parishes in the Church of England. The PCC works with the incumbent – who chairs it – to deliver ‘the whole mission of the Church , evangelistic, pastoral, social and ecumenical’ within the parish.

The PCC has a clear strategic role within the church and also oversees finance and key policies such as Safeguarding, Health and Safety. Membership of the PCC includes ex officio officers such as Churchwardens and also members of the Deanery Synod, the next tier of church governance
