    Martin , was an inspirational man, and I look back to a truly memorable time in my life as a young chorister at Addington Palace back in the fifties.I really owe him a debt of gratitude for that.

    From the moment Martin took that first rehearsal at Elmhurst school I was spellbound by his musical imagination, artistic and spiritual energy and commitment.I joined his Addington Palace choir and treasure the memory of his rehearsals,the evensongs he directed, and the vitality he brought to everything.

    I owe him an immense debt of gratitude for setting me on the path towards a career in music. He had a profound influence on me.
